Therapy is not about fixing yourself.
It’s about creating a space to heal, grow, and become more fully who you are.
Do you have a lot on your mind and feel overwhelmed by it all? Or have you had something specific troubling you for a long time and you want to heal from it? Are intense emotions like fear or anger making it tough to fully enjoy your life?
Did something happen and you’ve struggled to cope ever since? Feeling anxious, depressed, or emotionally unwell? Maybe some of your relationships are suffering, too?
Are you always taking care of others and have little time left for yourself to reflect and work through what’s on your mind? Is work really getting to you, and you need some skills to manage the stress of it and everything else?
Have you gone through some life changes and just don’t feel like yourself anymore? Not recognizing who you are, why you’re behaving certain ways, or struggling with low self-esteem?
Counselling offers a space for you to show up just as you are. You get to unmask and allow yourself to express everything you have been carrying - without judgment or expectation. I offer a supportive, caring environment where we can work through challenges at your own pace. Together, we’ll focus on helping you feel lighter, more grounded, and more connected to yourself.
CHRISTINE BENNETT (she/her) M.S.W., R.S.W.
I'm a registered social worker with extensive experience supporting individuals navigating complex mental health concerns. I hold both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work from Lakehead University, and I’m passionate about helping people reconnect with their strengths and move toward meaningful change.
In my practice, I provide psychotherapy to adults who are dealing with a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, low self-esteem, stress, work-related issues, chronic pain, and phobias. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure where to begin, I offer a safe, supportive space to explore what’s holding you back and build the tools you need to move forward.
My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to your unique needs and goals. I draw from evidence-based practices to help you better understand yourself, manage difficult emotions, and create lasting change in your life.
If you're ready to take the first step toward feeling better, I’d be honoured to support you on your journey. I offer my services in-person at my office in Orillia, as well as by secure video or phone.
Evidence-Based Approaches
I am trained in a range of evidence-based therapeutic interventions designed to support meaningful and lasting change. These include:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE)
Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
In addition, I am Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed, drawing on the principles of this model to support deeper self-understanding and healing.
These approaches are grounded in research and clinical evidence.
Starting counselling can feel like a big step, and I understand it can be overwhelming at first. Finding the right fit between client and therapist is so important—that connection can make all the difference in your experience and progress. If you’re curious about working together, have any questions, or would like to see if we’re a good match, you're welcome to contact me. I offer a brief initial conversation at no cost so we can get a sense of whether I’m the right support for you before booking your first session.
Counselling is $160/session (50 minutes)
